LAD Show 1: Mystery Kentucky July 8th 1999

Hi, this is Franky. Our first night on tour was extremely eventful, but I'll save the details of that for the news post. What matters is we met tons of awesome fans, signed lots of merchandise, and took lots of photos. Here's one of our favorites from tonight. These are our fans Jack and Kristen from Cincinnati, Ohio. They drove here to see us and bring us good will for our upcoming tour. We talked for a bit, and I must say they're a very genuinely interesting pair of people. I was told Jack would do a back-flip to be on the website (he did. It was awesome.) so here you are, immortalized for years to come.

I also wanted to highlight a fan letter I received via E-Mail that I read aloud to the band last night sent by our dear fan Christie from Nova Scotia Canada. She's said she felt compelled to share her story of how she found us and how the band changed her life once she found our E-Mail address. We wanted to say that our heart goes out to Christie and everyone else who takes the time to write us these heart-felt notes. It warms our hearts to know we are making a difference. We hope to see you at our show in Montreal if you can make it.

LAD Show 10: Montreal Canada August 2nd 1999

Hey! Franky here again. Been a few shows since I did a fan showcase but I want to change that, Just so it's clear we've been VERY BUSY with lots of boring musician stuff, if I could write about each and every one of you I WOULD. For now I'm not sure how many consecutive days I can go for, but I will try.

I recieved another E-Mail about a week ago from our fan Christie. She couldn't make it to our Montreal show but her brother ended up coming out and waving a sign in the crowd. You may not have been here, but I can confirm your brother brought enough spirit for the both of you. PS. we left something special with him for you. We hope you like it! lots of love from ACIDATA.

LAD Show 12: Reading England August 4th 1999

KT here. Franky is usually the one to write these, but a fan we met tonight made something fantastic for me in particular, so I felt the need to come on and highlight Cassie from our show in Reading England tonight.

When I was in high school I always thought about painting being my secondary career if music didn't take off, which is hilarious in retrospect as both are not particularly stable careers, but that never stopped me (and shouldn't stop you either). Cassie brought with her tonight a painting of me, and although I was not able to meet her, our photographer got a photo of the artist here with her artwork, and I felt it necessary to show it to you all. I am very touched by this painting, and it is going to come home with me. We cannot feasibly accept all gifts our fans bring us on tour since we would very quickly run out of room, but your generosity and thoughtfulness does not go unnoticed, and we wish we could make everything fit.

Sol here. Tonight, a fan came to me asking if I would take a photo with him and his stuffed animal 'Skully', who he says he made with his own two hands while listening to Life After Death for the first time as a demo on our web-site a few years ago.

There was a language barrier, but he expressed how much my contributions to the band's mixing inspired him and his own music projects. I was not able to catch the name of his project, but just by looking at him you can tell he has the passion and skill to really make it in music.
